It seems as though everyone’s a winner with Toucan Ventures’ latest fundraising. The mentoring platform for start-ups and entrepreneurs has secured £700k investment. The platform has been advising UK SMEs since its inception in 2014, and has created a community in which members can pitch ideas to mentors, partners, and investors.
“Today’s fundraise is a phenomenal endorsement for Toucan”, says Toucan founder and CEO Rasha Khawaja, “and a mark of what we have achieved to date”.
“It will enable us to accelerate the expansion of our core team and increase our bandwidth” she enthused, adding “we will be able to support a greater number of start-ups, and consolidate our position as the leading network for entrepreneurs”.
To date the platform has attracted a number of high-profile mentors to the platform, including co-founder of Innocent smoothies Richard Reed, and Babylon founder and CEO Ali Parsa.
